Requirements

1. Educational Background

Preferred: A basic understanding of computer systems, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and networks.
Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent. (Graduates in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields will have an advantage.)

2. Technical Prerequisites

Hardware Requirements:
- Laptop/PC with at least:
  - Processor: Intel Core i5 or higher.
  - RAM: Minimum 8 GB (16 GB recommended).
  - Storage: At least 500 GB free space (SSD preferred).
  - Graphics: Basic GPU support for virtual environments and analysis tools.
- A stable internet connection for accessing tools, virtual labs, and online resources.
Software Requirements:
- Operating System: Windows 10/11 (Professional or Enterprise), macOS, or Linux.
- Preinstalled Tools (installation guidance will be provided):
  - FTK Imager, Autopsy, EnCase (trial version), Wireshark, Kali Linux, and Ghidra.
- Virtualization software (e.g., VMware Workstation, VirtualBox).

3. Skills Prerequisites

Basic Skills:
- Familiarity with file systems and common OS functionalities.
- Foundational knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., IP addresses, protocols).
Recommended Skills (optional but beneficial):
- Basic programming knowledge (Python or Bash scripting preferred).
- Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.

4. Personal Requirements

Analytical Mindset: Ability to critically analyze data and troubleshoot issues.
Attention to Detail: Essential for identifying and preserving digital evidence.
Commitment and Dedication: Ability to dedicate 10-12 hours per week for coursework, labs, and assignments.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English for understanding technical content.

5. Access to Tools and Labs

Lab Access: Participants must have access to virtual labs (provided as part of the course) or the ability to set up local environments for practical exercises.

If participants lack any of the above prerequisites, they may be required to attend supplementary sessions or preparatory courses to bridge the gap.

Course Description

This 6-month intensive Computer Forensic Investigator training program is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and hands-on skills required to excel in the field of digital forensics.
